This new Emergency Trauma Department constructed at the front of the
HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley Hospital replaces their existing Emergency
Department in the rear of the Hospital. It will provide the community with a state-of-the-art facility for emergency care at the front entrance of the Hospital.
The project involved renovating and fitting out existing space on the first floor. A new addition was also constructed to create a main entrance vestibule and security
headquarters.
The new suite includes a dual bay Trauma Room, (2) Triage Rooms, A CT Scan Room, an X-Ray Room, A Decontamination and Isolation Sub-Suite, (22) individual Patient Exam/Treatment Rooms, (3) Nursing Stations, a new Reception/Waiting Area and
related support areas.
In addition, the primary Visitor Parking Lot was reconfigured and a new dedicated
ambulance driveway and drop-off area were created, along with new canopy structures at the two new exterior entrances.
