Wm. Blanchard Co. added two new floors atop the existing emergency and intensive care units at Hunterdon Medical Center. One new floor contains pediatric and maternity units, including birthing areas in which the mother remains in the same room for labor, delivery, recovery, and post-partum care. The other new floor contains medical-surgical “same day” and inpatient beds.

58,000 square feet of renovations were performed following the new construction, including outpatient services, gift shop, snack bar, larger patient rooms with private bathrooms and showers, heating and cooling system upgrades, improved nurse and medication areas, an expanded intensive care unit, and a cardiac rehabilitation area with cardiac testing laboratory.
